In questa pagina si intende mantenere una tabella che indichi la corrispondenza fra i nomi degli inventori assegnatari dei brevetti e le aziende che quei brevetti hanno utilizzato. Uno dei problemi più importanti relativi all'uso dei brevetti nella storia della stilografica infatti è quello di identificare, nella enorme varietà di brevetti ottenuti in questo campo, quali sono stati quelli effettivamente utilizzati dalle varie aziende nella produzione effettiva di penne.
Spesso questo è reso difficile dal fatto che i brevetti sono stati attribuiti ad un inventore che soltanto in seguito ha ceduto lo stesso ad una azienda. Pertanto non è affatto detto che sia immediato ottenere una corrispondenza. I brevetti sono classificati per marca, con una breve descrizione a ciò che fanno riferimento, in questa pagina, e per ordine cronologico, in quest'altra pagina.
