Nel [[1948]] la [[Sapem]] passa sotto la guida di Giovanni Enriques, nipote di Isaia Levi; questi era entrato tre anni prima nel consiglio di amministrazione, ed era diventato azionista di maggioranza a fine 1946, dopo un aumento di capitale; nel 1948 assume anche la carica di amministratore delegato. E' lui l'artefice del rilancio dell'azienda, che in quello stesso anno recupera in parte la ragione sociale originale, diventando la Aurora Società per Azioni.
