In realtà il nome ''aerometric'' viene usato in questo senso per lo più dai collezionisti, l'azienda faceva piuttosto riferimento con il nome di ''[[Aero-metric Ink System]]'' (riportato ad esempio in pubblicità come [[:File:1950-Parker-51-Signet.jpg|questa]]) all'insieme del sistema di caricamento (chiamato ''[[Foto-fill filler]]''), dell'alimentatore e del nuovo serbatoio in PVC (chiamato ''[[Pli-glass]]''), cosa che consentiva all'azienda di proclamare la penna come non contenente nessuna parte in gomma.<noinclude>
