In realtà i modelli del 1924 non hanno nulla a che fare con la [[Montblanc 149|149]] ed il nome ''Meisterstück'' non identifica affatto uno specifico modello o una linea di modelli, ma semplicemente la denominazione che da allora e nei decenni successivi è stata usata dalla [[Montblanc]] per indicare quelli che di volta in volta l'azienda considerava essere i suoi modelli di punta. Inizialmente inoltre indicava anche la garanzia a vita, in modo analogo alla denominazione ''[[Lifetime]]'' usata dalla [[Sheaffer]]. I vari modelli a cui veniva attribuito il nome ''Meisterstück'' si sono infatti susseguiti negli anni con linee molto diverse fra loro, a partire dagli [[Montblanc Meisterstück|originali]] degli anni '20, per passare alle serie [[Montblanc 10x|100]], [[Montblanc 12x|120]] e [[Montblanc 13x|130]], alla successiva serie [[Montblanc 14x|140]] e alle serie [[Montblanc 64x|640]] e [[Montblanc 74x|740]].

In fact the 1924 models are totally different than [[Montblanc 149|149]] and the ''Meisterstück'' name did not identify at all a specific model or a model line, but it was the name used by [[Montblanc]] to indicate from time to time what the company considered to be its top models. Initially it also implied a lifetime warranty, similar to the ''[[Lifetime]]'' mark used by [[Sheaffer]]. Various models to which was given the ''Meisterstück'' name have in fact followed each other over the years, with very different shapes and styles, starting whith the [[Montblanc Meisterstück|first ones]] of the '20s, to pass to the the [[Montblanc 10x|100]], [[Montblanc 12x|120]] and [[Montblanc 13x|130]] series, to the next [[Montblanc 14x|140]] series and the [[Montblanc 64x|640]] and [[Montblanc 74x|740]] series.
