The ''KWG'' is a little-known company whose history is closely linked to the [[Kaweco]] one, indeed, it worked with this name only for a few years, until 1929, when it acquired the more famous [[Kaweco]], who just went bankruptcy. Given the short period of activity ''KWG'' branded pens are quite rare, since after the acquisition of the [[Kaweco]] the original brand disappeared completely from the market. La ''KWG'' venne fondata il primo gennaio del [[1925]] da ''Frederik Grube'', ''Heinrich Woringen'' e ''J. Knust'' a Wiesloch, una paesino vicino a Heidelberg con il nome di ''Badische Federhalterfabrik Knust, Woringen & Grube''. L'azienda, più nota per il logo che riportava le iniziali dei fondatori, ''KWG'', iniziò una produzione di stilografiche mirando a mantenersi in una fascia di prezzo economica, ed i primi modelli avevano prezzi molto più bassi di quelli della concorrenza (intorno al 40% nei confronti di [[Kaweco]], [[Soennecken]] e [[Montblanc]]).  

The ''KWG'' was founded on January 1, [[1925]] by ''Frederik Grube'', ''Heinrich Woringen'' and ''J. Knust'' in Wiesloch, a small town near Heidelberg, with the name of ''Badische Federhalterfabrik Knust, Woringen & Grube''. The company, best known for the logo which reported the initials of the founders, ''KWG'', began a fountain pens production aiming to keep an economic price range, and the first models had much lower prices than the competition (around 40% with respect to [[Kaweco]], [[Soennecken]] and [[Montblanc]]).

Le prime penne dell'azienda venivano rivendute nei centri commerciali con il marchio [[Arumia]], ed erano presentate in varie versioni (''Real'', ''Liga'', ''Supra'' e ''Spezial''). L'azienda ottenne un buon successo vendendo nel primo anno oltre 20000 pezzi. Nel [[1927]] vennero introdotti nuovi modelli, in particolare era degna di nota la [[Arumia|Arumia Original]], una stilografica con caricamento a [[pulsante di fondo]], realizzata anche in [[celluloide]], molto simile alla [[Duofold]], che veniva garantita per 5 anni. Nello stesso anno venne anche creata una nuova linea di stilografiche [[safety]], la [[Colleg]], di fascia economica, rivolta agli studenti; anche questa ebbe un grande successo, moltiplicando di sei volte la produzione rispetto all'inizio del [[1926]].

The first company pens were sold in shopping malls under the brand [[Aurumia]], and were presented in various versions  (''Real'', ''Liga'', ''Supra'' e ''Spezial''). The company obtained a good success selling over 20,000 units in the first year. In [[1927]] the company introduced some new models, particularly noteworthy was the [[Aurumia|Aurumia Original]], a [[button filler]], also made in [[celluloid]], very similar to the [[Duofold]], which was guaranteed for 5 years. In the same year was also created a new line of [[safety]] fountain pens, the [[Colleg]] in the economy segment addressed to students that also was a great success, multiplying by six times the production since the beginning of the [[1926]].

Nel [[1928]] vennero risolte le controversie con la [[Parker]] per l'uso del caricamento a [[pulsante di fondo]], e vennero introdotti quattro nuovi modelli in celluloide della serie ''U'' della [[Arumia|Arumia Original]], dove, in mancanza di un marchio migliore, era stata usata la lettera probabilmente stava ad indicare la iniziale di ''unbreakable''. Venne introdotta anche una nuova linea, la [[Meisterklasse|Arumia Meisterklasse]] più costosa. Di nuovo i modelli riscossero un buon successo ed alla fine dell'anno gli impianti funzionavano a pieno regime e riuscendo a malapena a soddisfare le richieste.

In [[1928]] were resolved disputes with [[Parker]] for the use of [[button filler]], and were introduced four new celluloid models in for the [[Aurumia|Aurumia Original]] ''"U"'' series, where had been used a letter ''"U"'' in the absence of a better brand, probably to indicate the initial for ''unbreakable''. Was also introduced a new line, the [[Meisterklasse|Aurumia Meisterklasse]], more expensive. New models met with great success and at the end of the year the plants were operating at full capacity, and barely able to meet the demands.

Nel [[1929]] la ''KWG''' era alla ricerca di un marchio che sostituisse il poco attraente [[Arumia]], ed iniziarono i contatti con Max Sauter, il liquidatore della [[Kaweco]]. Dopo mesi di negoziati il 31 settembre del 1929, la ''KWG'' acquistò il marchio e cambiò nome in ''Kaweco Badische Füllhalterfabrik, Woringen & Grube''.

In [[1929]] ''KWG'' was looking for a trademark that would replace the unattractive [[Aurumia]], and started contacts with Max Sauter, the [[Kaweco]] liquidator. After months of negotiations in September 31, 1929, ''KWG'' bought the brand and changed its name to ''Kaweco Badische Füllhalterfabrik, Woringen & Grube''.

Da quel momento in poi il marchio ''KWG''' venne completamente abbandonato, i modelli [[Arumia]] con caricamento a [[pulsante di fondo]] della serie "U" vennero ripresentati a marchio [[Kaweco]] come [[Meisterklasse|Kaweco Meisterklasse]], negli stessi colori. La linea [[Colleg]] venne mantenuta come [[Colleg-Extra]] e divenne una vera e propria linea di prodotti più economici, rivolta all'uso scolastico. L'azienda proseguì le sue attività come [[Kaweco]].

From that moment on the ''KWG'' brand was completely abandoned, the [[button filler]] [[Aurumia]] models of the "U" series were [[Kaweco]] rebranded as [[Meisterklasse|Kaweco Meisterklasse]], in the same colors. The line [[Colleg]] was maintained as [[Colleg-Extra]] and became a real line of cheaper products, aimed for use at school. The company continued its activities as [[Kaweco]].
